As a collective of creative warriors, we create for the fulfillment of our true behavior not found in classes or clientele work. Without the compromise of attitude, breath, and soul, we present opportunities of collaboration and exhibitions in order to push the Creative Warrior Movement.

I was going through my archives and found a throw back picture of me back in 2008 shot by photographer Conor Wooten.
Time is a ridiculous thing. 2008 was when Wild Man Design Tribe was born. I look at my self in the picture and wonder what the hell was I doing. I seriously can’t understand what was going through my head those days…

Check out our homie 102. When we started bombing, we came across some punk that forced upon us a collaboration just like the photo. It’s funny how things work out. These days he’s kicking it with the Tribe.

This is a sticker collab I did with my friends from Wild Mad Design Tribe over Christmas break while I was back in Madrid. The WMDT sticker is over Madrid’s emblem of the bear and madroño + 102 sticker.

On February 11th, my “HEADGEAR” series was featured at a showcase held by the Chicago Asian American Institute. The exhibition shared works from various Chicago Asian Americans. CHEEEEEEEE!!!

Much love and thanks to the Tribe’s homie, Kiyomi Negi-Tran and Katherine Rivera for the opportunity.

If you haven’t seen my paintings in person, they will be up the month of February at Heartland Cafe located in Roger’s Park.

PART 2 : BEAUTY BAR VIDEO!!!!

We know you probably wouldn’t have read what I wrote If I posted a video first. Well, even if you didn’t, here’s a video put together by Loosey Goosey Zine themselves.

We’re visual people - why read a recap when you can watch it.

looseygooseyzine:

On February 2nd Loosey Goosey and The Infusion Project collaborated to set up an art show at the Beauty Bar in Wicker Park, Chicago. The night was a complete success, with artists selling their work and the floor dancing all night long. Loosey Goosey presented volume II’s featured artist Kathleen Boudwin and showcased a sneak peek at the upcoming issue. If you didn’t make it, don’t worry, there will be plenty more to come! In the mean time we have some photos by Sergio Silva and a video put together by Chris Cook and Joseph Crawford.

Here’s a breakdown of my “HEADGEAR” series, inspired from my bike accident back in September. I’ve said many times that these are my first paintings. It’s a half lie, but I consider this more of painting that my previous attempts.

I documented the breakdown so I can learn more about what I did. This was the first time I had a plan of attack, knew what I was doing, followed through, and completed it accordingly (minus inconsistencies).

Support and order your Bearbook today, here!

“Bearbook is presented by Jillian Barthold with Ashley Rose Reinsmith and Kady Dennell.

This could include but is not limited to photographers, painters, graphic designers, printmakers, culinary artists, papercutters, fashion designers, writers, etc. The first theme is “teeth” and the book will include 40-50 submissions that all somehow include the artist’s interpretation/incorporation of teeth.”

I used to sign signatures with my left hand, but these days it won’t cut it anymore. Since I’ve switched hands, I need to switch my signature to match my natural movement. Not yet there but here’s the drafting…

It was recently my little nephew’s birthday the day before Valentines Day. He just turned 6. I have some serious pride and love for this kid. He told me one day he wanted to become an artist like me.

Recently the community has been getting done just right, as the new year has made way to a year of collaboration. Couple weeks ago Loosey Goosey Zine curated a showcase with California based group Infusion Project.
Now our comrades Jillian Barthold with Ashley Rose Reinsmith and Kady Dennell is moving forward with yet another project called Bearbook.
